Are We Getting Habitual of these Blasts?

Hi

This time my blog is totally based on hard core reality...a harsh reality। A next reality that has always shocked our nation time after time। A reality that we all don’t want to face, a reality that has broke the house, a reality that has snatched away the peace of anybody’s home, a reality that has crushed somebody’s sweet love story into pieces, a reality that has squashed somebody’s last hope to live anymore, a reality that turned somebody’s life upside down. Yes, friends...this time you got it right, it was same serial blast that brought these cities charisma to a standstill.

Breaking News: Serial Blasts Rock India’s ‘Pink City’

NEW DELHI/JAIPUR, 14 May 2008 — seven major bomb blasts rocked Jaipur last night killing at least 80 people and injuring more than 100। The blasts took place within a span of 15 minutes at around 7.40 p.m. in densely populated areas, situated within a radius of one kilometer of each other.

Comments: Expressing shock, Prime Minister Dr। Manmohan Singh said: “The main intent of the dastardly attack was to cause loss of life to innocent people and create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity।” He spoke to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and assured all possible assistance to restore normalcy. Indian President Pratibha Patil and US Ambassador to India David Mulford condemned the attack. “There can be no possible justification for murderous attacks on innocent people,” Mulford said.

News Alert: 9 bomb blasts rock Bangalore

Bangalore , 26 July , 2008 - A string of nine synchronised bomb blasts on Friday shook the IT hub during the busy lunch hour, leaving two killed and injuring 12 others - a chilling reminder of the over two-year-old terror attack at the Indian Institute of Sciences here.
The crude bombs, concealed near refugee camps and roadside stuffed with nuts and bolts, exploded between 1:30 pm and 1:45 pm at Adugodi, Madivala, Nayandahalli, Mysore Road, Richmond Circle, Pantharapalya and Vittal Mallya Road.

Comments: The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh condemned the serial bomb blasts and urged people to remain calm and maintain communal harmony। Chief Minister of Karnataka, B।S.Yeddyurappa stated, "It's a planned conspiracy to vitiate the atmosphere and to try to create confusion among people. There is no need to panic. It's a planned conspiracy. I appeal to people to maintain calm." Leader of the opposition L.K.Advani said, "I strongly condemn the blasts in Bangalore, it is the latest in a long series of terrorist acts in various parts of the country...I also express my condolences to the families of those killed and injured in blasts."

BBC: Toll in Ahmedabad serial blasts rises to 46

Ahmedabad, 28 July 2008- At least 29 people were killed and over 100 were injured as 16 serial bomb blasts rocked Ahmedabad city in India on Saturday evening। Crowded areas including market places were hit in the synchronised 'low-intensity' explosions in a space of 60 to 70 minutes after the first blast hit Maninagar at 6.45 pm.

The Army staged flag marches in sensitive areas here on Sunday to restore a sense of security and confidence among the people, as the death toll in Saturday’s terror attack went up to 46. In Gandhinagar, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi convened an emergency meeting of the Cabinet, the second in 12 hours, and decided to form a four-member special coordination committee। Headed by the Principal Secretary, Home, the committee will coordinate inputs with other States which had faced similar terror attacks।

The State government has announced a compensation of Rs।5 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in the Ahmedabad blasts and Rs। 50,000 to each of those injured. Mr. Modi assured the injured that they would be given the best possible treatment.

Wall Street Journal: Finally it happened in Delhi

Five blasts in heavily-populated market areas and near a subway station around India's capital in less than an hour Saturday evening killed at least 15 people and injured more than 80, capping a summer of attacks around the nation targeted at economic area.

Comments: "Whoever has done this, they are enemies of humanity and enemies of India," said Home Affairs Minister Shivraj Patil, who appealed for calm. "They want to destroy peace in our society. . . . We will take the toughest action against them."

इंदia has been the target of repeated terrorist attacks attributed to Islamist terrorists। Experts say the vast majority of those attacks in the last few years were carried out by SIMI with help from outside India, chiefly Pakistan। Till now, SIMI has been responsible for most of 1,193 deaths attributed to Islamic terrorists in India since Sept. 11, 2001, according to the South Asia Terrorism Portal, a New Delhi research firm.

So, how long this story will continue...or in hash words a cruel bloodshed battle will continue। Days come and goes, blasts happens and innocent lose their lives. Government make fake promises, agencies claim we are ready to track or prepare from any worst condition...but and but...still every alternate month we get to hear this news. Government promises to give compensation, politicians share some words and the chapter get closed.

Today, I want to ask question to all the citizen of India-
1. Are we getting habitual of these blasts?
2. What kind of future we want to give to upcoming generation?
How long we will carry this burden, a seed that was bowed during partition has now grown into a big tress, and unfortunately today this tree is fruiting products like Indian Mujahideen, SIMI, foreign terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-तैबा।

I want to ask questions to government of India-
1. Why POTA has been removed?
2. How long we have to face all these bloody carnage just in name of religion or God or land?
Bomb blasts are heinous crime on humanity। Those who are doing so are machines controlled in the hands of masterminds sitting away at safe places। Bomb blasts are heinous crime on humanity. Those who are doing so are machines controlled in the hands of masterminds sitting away at safe places.

Finally, rethinking has to be done to implement a proper law and strategy to deal with this curse। A proper communication, education, rights should be given to our youth and every citizen of India। Lets us not divide this nation in any more just in the name of surname or caste. The media, NGO, Govt, all security systems must contribute to lure our youths to live good life so no one can go to become a puppet in the hands of the masterminds. We Indians forget things very fast since everyone in us who is not affected by such blast watch news channel condemns it and wait for another blast to happen but ask who lost their nearer and dearer in such incidents.

Wake up before it’s too late.... Wake up now otherwise it will be too late. I am sure if each and every one of us opens our eye and be cautious 80% of blast could be stopped and we can succeed terrorist could be nabbed. All we need is to understand our responsibility as the true citizen of India and work together to overcome from this issue.

How far can we go in the name of God

India...We claim ourselves to be one of the largest democratic nations in the world. We always talk about unity in diversity. Our great politicians always deliver speeches and speeches emphasizing upon equal rights for everybody. We are talking about economic development and one of the most powerful developing nations in the global map. I thought for a while ...well dear friends...I can keep on adding various attributes or you can say so called various feel-good factors to make ourselves happy. But what happened in Kandhamal district in Orrisa has shocked the entire nation.

“Welcome to Kandhamal”, announces a road sign board. Well, a small nature’s paradise surrounded with lush green forest and green hills, dotted with springs and soothing climate has become a new synonym to emerging battle ground...a perfect paradigm on –how much we can hate in the name of God. Unfortunately, it is a harsh reality. Perhaps a small district that got full coverage in various newspapers or pulled the attention of millions of people across the entire nation. Attack on Christians – 4845 incidents, 1,949 dead, 16,792 injured. That’s an official summary of communal violence in India between 2001 to 2007. As Mob go on rampage in Orrisa-states Sunday Time. Would you like to have any more statistics or data? to make you realize or aware you about the cruel truth that is currently prevailing in the soil in Orrisa.

Kandhamal district has been in news for last couple of years. The ratio of conflicts between Hindu Kandh Tribal and Christian Dalit Panas has increased dramatically. What you will do when you lost entire family or your sweet home is burned in a single night? Just some words of sympathy. But words of compassion have no meaning for Rabindranath Pradhan. “Lord helps us, where I will go? Forgive us our sins. Jesus where are you, you are the only one. Save us from our misfortune.” The words are tumbling out. Narmada is weeping with her children.

Attack on Christians on 1st September, 2008 was one of worst communal violence between Hindus and Christians in Orrisa. As the result of this violence 16 persons killed, 35 injured, 185 arrested, 558 houses and 17 places of worship burnt. And unfortunately as always our politicians are once again trying to boil the issue out of proportion. VSP International General Secretary, who likes nothing except to drive non-Hindus out of India.

Today, I really feel sad to say that we all don’t deserve to celebrate and promote our tag of being called as A Nation with Unique Unity with wide Diversity. Sometimes, I feel it would be really hash for Mr. Gandhi to accept the mental condition of nation even after 50 years of independence.

Nothing has changed even after 61 years of Indian independence. As, I mentioned in my previous blogs problems like poverty and equal rights for every class has remained untouched in many parts of India and the picture of Orrisa is not different. The battle is over jobs, land, status and then religion. Possibly, the time has come when we all need to understand the importance of peace and equal right and law for everybody. The violence that took place in Khandhmal can happen any where in India unless our elected government implement some strict measures to overcome from these crises.

15th august: Just another holiday or it really means to you?

Its 15th august, does this date remind you of something? Does this date have some importance in your life? Do I need you to tell, what vital significance this particular date plays in the history of India? Well, I think, I don’t really need to say about all these or answer these above mentioned questions in my life.

Ya, its 15th August, the day we got independence...freedom, liberty, the synonyms can go on and on. It was 15th August, 1947 we got independence from British rule. Fortunate enough, today we are celebrating 61st birthday of our motherland, but however I want to ask to my friends, juniors, seniors and so called respected politicians... what does freedom mean to you in your life? Do you wish to devote your entire life for the sake of our motherland? What can you do for the improvement of your nation? I again know, you all come across these types of questions every next another day. But dear friends, please don’t take these questions lightly. Some might say...salee kyo paka raha hai... abe bore mat kar...

Sounds bad, well it is bad. How can you react like this? Today, every next day, we talk about development, progress, unity and so many so called economical and social issues. Every four years, new government gets elected depending upon the faith of billions of people and four-year or five-year plans proto-types strategies are designed. We say India is rising; we are looking for the permanent membership in United Nations. We say that the world is looking India as the next potential market in south-east Asia. Again, my dear friends this imagination can go on and on. But dear Indians what about our in-house problems that have remained unresolved since our independence. Where is education for all, corruption free environment, equal rights for every citizen, poverty-free India?

Today, even after 61 years of Indian Independence, there are regions across India where child education still acts as a dream. Issues related to child like female infanticide, child labor, child sexual harassment has in-fact grown at tremendous rate. Why in country like India, where we worship goddess like Durga, Parvati or Laxmi disrespect women? Why women in India still not safe even in her own home? Every 30 minutes, one woman is raped in India and in 75% of the cases the offenders are the victim’s acquaintances. We talk about 33% women reservation bill in parliament, then why the picture has still remained unchanged? Fortunately things or the circumstances have changed in metros, but the large ratio in rural areas remains static.

Education for all. Doesn’t it sounds very good? Certainly it does, but and but...the current scenario depicts the true picture. As per The Week, monthly magazine, there are about218 million child labourers under the age of 14 world-wide and 15 million in India; 85 percent of them are from rural pockets. Globally around 126 million children work in hazardous conditions and 1.8 millions are forced into prostitution. The story on other side of the coin is not different. About 46% children below six are malnourished. So, think can you still cheers for our great motherland.

Poverty...well very familiar with this world. Unofficial estimates show that districts of banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun, jhasi and Chitrakoot have witnessed around 2,000 unnatural deaths in the last four years. Out of 32 Lakh people directly engaged in agriculture, 80 percent are deeply in debt. The statics and go on and on.

Well, the 15th August, 2008 is over, next year again we will just meet and perhaps will raise our concern on different areas. But dear citizens of India, how long we will just wait for things to improve...perhaps the time has come, when we should all get united and make this land a better place to live.

I Dream....and want you to dream...too

Hey friends...

It’s really nice to see you back and to tell you very frankly i missed you all a lot. To tell you very frankly there have been many occasions when I felt very alone and wanted to share you my experiences. Finally, I am happy to have one wide platform where I can share my views and some learning that life has taught me in this last 25 years. In my previous blog, in fact my first blog I wrote about thoughts. I do want to write about thoughts but I will talk about this subject in my next blog. However, today I am in mood to share about one gift that our mind performs when you and I have a sound sleep...and it belongs to everybody. No matter whether you are rich, poor, high elite class business professionals or typical middle-class labour....no matter whether you are Hindu, Muslim, or Sikh....no matter whether you are new born baby or a man with age around 50 or 60+.

Yes....this time you guess it right, and it is DREAM. So can anybody explain me what is dream all about? Do you really dream? Can anyone differentiate about realistic dream or just a dream? And finally can anyone answer me why do really dream. However, if we go through a dictionary and look for the meaning of dream then it means- The thoughts, or series of thoughts, or imaginary transactions, which occupy the mind during sleep; a sleeping vision. Dreams are a communication of body, mind and spirit in a symbolic communicative environmental state of being. That's it! Now let me explain in a more down to earth language. Our brains are in constant activity. Different states of consciousness (like awake, asleep, alert, drowsy, excited, bored, concentrating or daydreaming) cause different brain wave activity. Our conscious mind, or the part we think with, our "window" into life, only takes up a very small portion of our brain activity. Other areas control things like breathing, heartbeat, converting light to vision, sound to hearing, balance when we walk, etc. etc. This too has it's own percentage (small). Another area controls imagination. This area is widely an undiscovered frontier.

Now, every day our mind came across different state-of –frame, and sometimes cannot deal with chaos very well, in fact it either resist or sometimes manufacture order. (very important to the dreaming process.)This too occupies a small percentage of brain activity. Then there is memory. Memory is vast and I believe it occupies more of the brains resources then most people believe and then there is the activity called dreaming. I think that to a certain extent, we dream all the time. Even while awake! But the process is functioning in our subconscious mind, out of view from our "window". If defined precisely, they may not be referred to as dreams technically, but the activity is very closely related.

However, if we look for an answer for why we actually dream, then as per Dr. Saurabh Prakash,M.B.B.S we dream during the REM, or rapid eye movement, phase of sleep. During this phase of sleep, our closed eyes dart rapidly about, our brain activity peaks. Two different schools of thought exist as to why we dream: the physiological school, and the psychological school.
As per physiological theory, we dream to exercise the synapses, or pathways, between brain cells, and that dreaming takes over where the active and awake brain leaves off. When awake, our brains constantly transmit and receive messages, which course through our billions of brain cells to their appropriate destinations, and keep our bodies in perpetual motion. Dreams replace this function.

Psychological theorists of dreams focus upon our thoughts and emotions, and speculate that dreams deal with immediate concerns in our lives. Connections between dreams that the human psyche have been made by many people over thousands of years. The famous Greek philosopher, Aristotle wrote in his "Parva Naturalia," over 2,200 years ago, of a connection between dreams, waking experiences, and emotional needs.

Well, friends I will try to explain more about dream sin my next blog. Just wait for some time...and till then have a good sleep and do dream about dream.

Thoughts

Well, what do really understand when we talk about thoughts? There are so many different ways to define thoughts and there are so many synonyms for thoughts. But is it really worth to have a thought or give a thought before performing any act or action. Some great philosophers try to emphasize so much on +ve and -ve thoughts. But again the question is: How can one know whether this thought is right or wrong? So, there are many questions and so many answers. Perhaps it is this thoughts or our ability to think and generate some thoughts or epigrams that actually differentiate us from rest of the animals in the planet.

It is very important to understand that today whatever we are able to see or the revolution occurred, it was all started with thought, yes... a thought towards change, a thought to have a better living word, a thought to live together, a thought to overcome every problem. So, it's a thought....My blog is based on thoughts....Come join with me a start next revolution, a revolution to share and express your thoughts. It doesn't matter which field it relates to, every thought has a reason. So share your thoughts with a reason.
